Today we will be heading toward the desert throughout the amazing Middle Atlas Mountains, and then to the Erg Chebbi dunes, Merzouga and then back to Fes city.
Tour includes the following sights:
Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Rachidia – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
Day 1 : Fez to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas.
After we pick you up, our desert journey will start from Fes, where your multi-languages speaking driver will meet you, then we head through The Middle Atlas passing by Ifran then we cross the cedar forest or the home of Barbary apes then we continue on to Midelt where you will be having one traditional lunch. Midelt is well known by its fossils and rocks.
After lunch, you’ll be heading to the Sahara where you will have you dinner and over night at your accommodation in Merzouga.
Day 2 : A visit to the Rissani Kasbah’s , then to Berber villages
After breakfast we will head back to Rissani where you will discover more about that paradisiacal Berber Village in the midst of the desert and get the chance to take tons of amazing pictures, and then we will stop where you will be having a special typical lunch which is “El Medfouna” or the Moroccan Saharan pizza.
After exploring more of Rissani, we will continue our tour back to Merzouga where you will have a camel trekking through the sand dunes until your nomad tents where you will be spending the night but before that, dinner will be served for you while enjoying the traditional Berber folkloric music.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Fes
We recommend you to wake up earlier this morning so you can get to enjoy the amazing sunrise over the outstanding dunes of the Merzouga desert before you ride the camel back to your lodging for a shower and start our road back to Fez.
